Where do Art Projects come from?

...The River Rocks mural project was one that fell out of the sky. I manifested it by getting happy about something else...  my life!  Once I got happy about that, everything opened up.  The project came to me as if conjured.  It was at Christmas dinner at a friend's house where I met an architect from San Francisco.  We liked each other so much we were rude to everyone else!!  We went off in a corner and talked and talked about Luis Barragan, color, contemporary space, on and on, ignoring the party.  My husband interrupted us three times!  Little did I know then that from this encounter, a wonderful diptych mural would manifest itself for the 25 foot atrium in his house. It flowed to me and through me just like the water in it.  Law of Attraction was at its best.

"River Rocks"
Photo mural, vertical diptych, 2010.  Pigment print on canvas. 168" x 90".  River rocks was inspired by a stream in Mexico photographed early in the morning.  The finished mural is installed in the two story atrium of architect Paul Weir's home in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.  The spiritual moods of the mural change with the light throughout the day from a skylight in the atrium ceiling.
